The Police in Rubanda District have registered a single fatal accident thar took place at Kitahurira Village in Kashasha Parish in Ikumba Sub-county along Rubanda Ruhija marram road.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the accident that involved motor vehicle registration number UAW 683S and identified the victims as 32 year old Maloba Isaac a Samia by tribe and incharge Warden Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park overseeing Ruhija Sector resident of Ruhija Sector Camp who was the driver of the car who died on sport.
Maate told journalists that another victim was identified as Kibuka Jefferson a Mukonzo by tribe an accountant at Bwindi National Park Ruhija Sector who sustained serious injured.
Maate explained that preliminary investigations indicate that the motor vehicle was coming from Kabale Side heading to Ruhija in Rubanda when the driver lost control as he curved corner and ended up over turning several times into a sloppy landscape and gardens.
Maate said that the scene of the accident was visited by Detective Corpal Saturday Sabatisian who is the Detective Scene of Crime Officer in Rubanda District and Police Constable Kauli Bohanon and team who retrieved the body and delivered to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination and the motor vehicle was towed and parked at Rubanda Central Police Station pending inspection by Inspector of Vehicles as investigations continue.
