Mitooma Health Centre IV in Mitooma Town Council

NEWS- In a bid to support the health care system in Mitooma district, the internal affairs minister Minister and Ruhinda County legislator Maj General Kahinda Otafiire, has handed over Medical equipment worth 232 million shillings he lobbied from the ministry of health to Mitooma HC IV.

According  to Dr Julius Taremwa the Mitooma Health centre IV incharge, among the received equipment was an operating table, patient monitor, infant warmer, infant incubator, ultrasound scan machine with accessories, suction machine, Doppler telescope, instrument set cesarean among others.

Dr. Taremwa added that once put into good use, the equipment will help in offering excellent health care services to the people of Mitooma.

Twinamatsiko Evans the Mitooma district principal Assistant secretary who represented the chief Administrative officer Fred Kizito Mukasa noted that the district is privileged to have supportive leaders.

Twinamatsiko however noted that some of the equipment require specialized personnel yet the district has a limited wage bill hence a need for the government to look into solving this as well.

Delivering the equipment, Internal Affairs Minister Maj. Gen. Kahinda Otafiire asked health workers to handle the donated equipment with care to serve the intended purpose.

The Minister further noted that the problem of under staffing is a general one in all sectors throughout the country due to limited funds. He however pointed out that the gov’t is committed to doing its best to serve people.
