NEWS- Mr. John Monday Wakighoma the LCIII Kitswamba town council, Busongora county North in Kasese District has officially declared to contest for the area Member of Parliament seat to front his ten point manifesto including road networking which is still a challenge in the area.
The other points includes, fighting poverty through lobbying for government programs and non-governmental organizations, improving and equipping health facilities in the area and extending water network among others.
His official declaration event was held today afternoon at confidential gardens in Kitswamba town council in Busongora county North.
According to him, the constituency is still lagging behind because of a number of key issues including power extinction even when they have Bugoye hydro power.
Mr. Wakighoma says he also wants to improve the agriculture sector for food security in the area.

 He also noted that the education system in the area needs a political support through giving more scholarships and bursaries especially to the under-privileged Â

Hon. Muhindo Wilson the Minster of Land, Agriculture and cooperatives in the Obusinga Bwa-Rwenzururu who attended the event, lectured the community members on the five OBR pillars including peace, unity, reconciliation, social economic transformation and mindset change.
He also encouraged parents in the area to embrace both girl and boy child education as one way to fight early marriages and pregnancies which is on increase in Busongora county North.
