The office of the prime minister has today delivered 1250 pieces of iron sheets and dummy checks to selected beneficiaries in Kagadi district.
State Minister for Bunyoro Affairs Janepher Namuyangu Kacha handed over the consignment and the dummy cheques of Forty seven million six hundred fifteen thousand shillings (Ugx47,615,000) to the beneficiaries at the Kagadi district board room.
Benefiting public institutions from Buyaga East constituency include Mabaale secondary school-200sheets, St Elizabeth Catholic sub parish pachwa received 250 iron sheets and Kagadi Modal P/S got 200 iron sheets.
Other institutions from Buyaga West constituency that benefited from the program are Muhorro Boys Catholic School (BCS) that received 300 iron sheets and Kyaterekera SDA church received 300 iron sheets.
Minister Namuyangu says the Forty seven million six hundred fifteen thousand shillings (Ugx47,615,000) has been disbursed to micro projects in the district to foster social economic development.
She urges the beneficiaries to ensure the iron sheets and funds serve their intended purpose.
Namuyangu has further rallied the people of Bunyoro to support President Yoweri Kaguta Museven in the 2026 elections to protect the gains and NRM government achievements.
The Buyaga East constituency Member of Parliament Eric Musana commended the Prime minister’s office for the support but asked the prime minister to fulfill other pledges like the iron sheets pledge to Kagadi SS.
The Kagadi Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Caroline Nanshemeza lauded the government for supporting public institutions and urged the beneficiaries of the donations on proper use.
She asked residents to vote President Yoweri Museven in the forthcoming elections for social economic transformation programs.
Meanwhile, the beneficiaries have lauded government and their leaders for the delivery of the iron sheets and funds, saying they will improve housing conditions and drive economic growth.
