Museveni campaigning in Bududa District in Eastern Uganda

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is also the National Resistance Movement party flagbearer has campaigned in Bududa, where he was accompanied by the NRM leadership. 

While campaigning in Bududa District, President Museveni urged our people to continue supporting the Movement because it is m not just talking, but showing developmental results.

The President noted that in Bududa, infrastructural developmental work is visible after the completion of Mbale – Bumbobi – Bubulo – Lwakhakha road, and funds are now available to construct the Bubulo – Namisindwa – Bududa circular road. 

Bududa District Chairman Watira Wilson testified that through Parish Development Model, the people of Bududa are now suppliers of beef and cows to eastern Uganda and even Kampala, a clear sign that wealth creation at the household level.

The President noted that Ugandans must protect these gains and shall continue supporting all wealth creation initiatives to ensure every family joins the money economy.

The President pledged that the government will relocate the people from Bududa District who were affected by the landslides but advised those still living in mountainous area to leave before more landslide affect them.

Candidate Museveni later proceeded to Namisindwa district where he was received by large crowds of National Resistance Movement party supporters.
