The Police in Rukungiri District have arrested two suspects for the alleged murder of a 14 year old identified as Twinamatsiko Kam a student and resident of Nyarurambi cell in Kasheshe Parish Buyanja Sub-county.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the incident which took place yesterday at Nyarurambi Cell, when the deceased together with Edwin Niwenyesiga were waylaid by two other boys identified as 14 year Muhumuza George and 16 year old Akanyijuka Eden, who was armed with a panga and cut the deceased on the head accusing him of calling him a thief.
The two assailants took off and Niwenyesiga Edwin informed the relatives of the deceased who rushed him to Nyakibale Hospital from where they were later referred to Mbarara referral hospital, unfortunately, but died on the way.
The father to the deceased Turinawe Kam reported the case at Buyanja Police Station and the scene of crime was visited, examined and documented and the postmortem examination carried out and the two suspects have been arrested to help in investigations
Meanwhile the Police in Rukungiri are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 39 year old man identified as Pius Kyarisima a resident of Kibare cell Western Division of Rukungiri Municipality, whose lifeless body was discovered lying in his bed with visible injuries on the forehead and feet.
The deceased was lastly seen during the night time at Omukibare Trading Center at Karangaro Ward also in Western Division and areport was made by Tumusiime Caroline at Rukungiri Police Station and investigations commenced, to establish those involved so that they are arrested and charged accordingly.
