KANUNGU- The former Prime Minister Rt Hon John Patrick Amama Mbabazi has called upon politicians stop playing politics of identity and religion if they want to develop

The former Prime Minister made the call while speaking as the Chief Guest at the official opening of Stabex Focacia City Kihihi Petrol Station located in Kihihi Sub-county in Kanungu district where he said that it was alarming to hear that Kanungu District politicians have started championing politics of identity based on religion which may distract developmental initiatives.

Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi who was accompanied by his wife Jacqueline Mbabazi, thanked the Stabex Focacia City Petrol Station Chief Executive Officer Happy Mbabazi for developing the idea of establishing a modern Petrol Station in his home town that has helped to transform the area by providing jobs to the youth and affordable fuel for automobile users.

He reminded the people of Kanungu  that no dream is too big to be fulfilled and therefore they should emulate Happy Mbabazi by working hard to make their dreams a reality.

While speaking at the same event, Kinkizi West Member of Parliament Hon James Ruggi Kaberuka thanked Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi for being the foundation of knowledge in Kinkizi West, Kanungu District and Uganda as a whole of which very many leaders have tapped from to advocate for the development and requested him to continue fighting fir service delivery in his area such as goods roads and many more.

The Chief Executive Officer of Stabex Focasia City Petro Station Happy Mbabazi thanked Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi for the support he has extended to him to make his dream a reality and promised to provide quality services to his customers.

The ceremony was attended by Kanungu District LC 5 Chairman Eng Sam Arineitwe Kajojo, the RDC Ambrose Mwesigye Amanyire, religious leaders, the business community among many others.
