KAGADI- The Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara diocese Right Reverend Jacob Ateirweho has urged Christians and parishes to embrace coffee farming to boost incomes.
The prelate made the call on Friday afternoon on his pastoral visit at St. Andrew’s COU Parish, Kyakabadiima archdeaconry Bunyoro Kitara diocese.
Bishop Ateirweho directed each parish in the Diocese to use available land for coffee farming to reduce reliance on contributions from believers.
He also encouraged each Anglican household to grow coffee to support their families and church activities.
Bishop Ateirweho also rallied Christians to conserve the environment to prevent occurrences of disasters.

Additionally, Bishop Ateirweho rallied parents to prioritize the education of their children and nurture them with church values to become responsible citizens in future.
He also rallied girls to shun dropping out of school despite challenges encountered in their academic journey, encouraging them to keep in school and complete the education cycle to become successful in life

Meanwhile, during the service Bishop Ateirweho confirmed 50 believers into the Anglican faith.
