KAMPALA- Some of the finance ministry officials, who were last week charged before the Anti-Corruption Court with a series of corruption-related offences, have been Interdicted and replaced.
Godfrey Ssemugooma, director of financial management services in the ministry will now be the acting accountant general replacing embattled Semakula. Stephen Ojambo, who was commissioner of Treasury inspectorate has since replaced Muhuruzi as commissioner for Treasury services.
Twesigomwe who did not appear in the dock but was charged with others has also been replaced by Barbara Nakintu who was transferred from the Ministry of Health.
Sources say the replacements have been effected by the finance permanent secretary Ramathan Ggoobi.
