NEWS- The Rwenzori East Region police headquartered in Kasese District have identified the Nyamwamba Floods victims.
SP Nelson Tumushime, the regional police spokesperson identified the deceased persons as Mumbere Bright 28years old, working at Delta Stage washing Bay in Kasese Municipality and 40 year old Matsika Teopista who was working as a Nurse in Kasese Municipality.
The spokesperson says the water flow is reducing however he says the residents of Kamurikwizi, Saluti A Cell are experiencing fear because the rains at Mt. Rwenzori are continuing and expect more floods to occur.
Police has since warned residents who own houses along the water channel and other properties and businesses to relocate with immediate effect to safer areas as we monitor the situation, we will keep you updated on any development.
