NEWS- The medical superintendent of Itojo hospital Dr. Innocent Twesiime, on Friday during the end of year party of Rubaare healthy facility workers as the guest charged health workers to act professionally when doing their work at their work station if they are to satisfy the reason for their calling into this profession.
The end of year party was held at Perick gardens in Kagango ward, Rubaare town council in Ntungamo district.
At the same function, the in charge of Rubaare health centre IV Dr. Barinda John Wycliffe underscored some challenges that are crippling the health service delivery at the facility, including lack of staff accommodation, inadequate lighting most especially in the maternity ward where they have solar panels without batteries to back them up and among others.
Dr. Barinda added that the theatre is not yet operational since they don’t have an anesthetist yet stressing that he is optimistic that once its operational, it could be a relief to Itojo hospital.
Dr. Twesiime assured the in charge of Rubaare health centre IV that all the challenges will be rectified.
Emmanuel Byamukama, the town clerk Rubaare town council hailed the tremendous work being done by the health workers at the facility, saying that it is articulated without question.
Byamukama appealed to the in charge of the facility to table all the challenges in the council for approval.
The HUMIC chairman for the facility Mr. Muhwezi, asked the health workers to keep the cooperation they have had for the continuation of the good service delivery rendered in this year 2023.
Muhwezi added that as the HUMIC chairman, he has not received sequencing complaints from patients that health workers have neither been neglecting them nor denying them any service at the facility.
The station manager Mpororo radio Mr Darius Ndyareeba appreciated the cooperation exhibited among the facility staff and media fraternity stressing that it has also been a step forward in commendable service delivery.
