KAMPALA- President Yoweri Museveni Museveni has urged residents in the Luwero triangle to hold their local leaders accountable for ensuring the delivery of government services.

Museveni yesterday attended a grand event at Kijaguzo Village, Semuto Trading Center, Nakaseke District to celebrate his 80th birthday.

Speaking before thousands of local residents and visitors from the greater Luwero Triangle, Museveni focused on the needs of the people in the Luwero Triangle, a region deeply affected by the NRA’s guerrilla war in the 1980s.

He assured the audience that the government was committed to rehabilitating roads in the region, including the Masulita-Luwero, Kiwoko-Butalangu, and Butalangu-Kapeeka- Nakwaya roads.

He expressed frustration over the continued presence of land grabbers in the area, despite existing laws prohibiting such actions.

Museveni reminded the residents of the protections provided by the Constitution and the 1998 Land Act, which prevent landlords from evicting tenants unjustly.
