SPORT- Ishaka Ruins FC are the official champions for the Bushenyi district 4th tier tournament 2023 – 2024 season.
Ishaka Ruins FC became winners after defeating Buyanja FC in a tough game that was played at Bushenyi main stadium in Bushenyi town on Saturday 10th February 2024. Though Buyanja FC displayed a good performance, they could not survive the young talents of Ishaka Ruins who played a tip tap speedy game that left Buyanja experienced players conceding the only goal that created a difference.
To book the final spot, Ishaka Ruins had ousted Sendyowa FC by 4 goals to 2 while Buyanja FC edged Bwera Fc by 5 -4 in a bloody game that excited most of the football lovers that had gathered at the pitch.
The 4th division games for 2023 – 24 season began on 9th February 2024 and teams were grouped into 2 each with 4 teams though one team Ruharo FC did not manage to participate in the tournament.
The teams that showed up for the tournament are Ishaka Ruins (champions), Buyanja fc, Kamoma fc , Bumbaire fc, Sendyowa fc, Bushenyi Elites fc and Bwera football club. For group stages, 2 pitches including Kashenyi playground and Bushenyi stadium were used to host the games.
Mr. Micheal Ntegyereize, the Chairman Bushenyi District Football Association who was also the chief organizer thanked all stakeholders including team owners, managers, referees and players as well as the officials and supporters for showing great love for football displaying proper discipline at both the playgrounds for the two days they spent hosting these games.
