NEWS– School going children mostly girls in Bukonzo County, Kasese district have asked government to introduce special lessons for making reusable sanitary pads so as to reduce the rate at which they beg from men who in turn lure them into sexual activities at a tender age.
They sounded the remarks on Thursday evening during a career guidance sessions at their respective schools that were organized by Kasese Youth Link for Development, a Community Based Organization that is currently implementing a project that is aimed at fighting against Gender Based Violence that is on the increase in Kasese district.

At Cardinal Nsubuga Memorial Secondary School, the girls also agreed with their counterparts from Nyakiyumbu but advised that learners should establish some income generating projects at their respective homes from which they can get money to buy sanitary pads.
