NTUNGAMO- District Governor Lions district 411B Uganda Dr Stanley Bubikire challenged Lions of Ntungamo to recruit more people from all walks of life as members of Lions club if more hands are to engage in serving  and satisfying  the less privileged in the  community.

Dr Stanley Bubikire asked them to do priority services that give value to the community commending them for the construction of passenger sheds in Ntungamo Municipality.

He made remarks on Friday during the end of the year fellowship organized by the Lion club Ntungamo held in the family of Lion Jacob Kafureeka aka Jack Jex the mayor Ntungamo Municipality in Mishenyi Itojo sub county Ruhaama county Ntungamo district.

Dr Bubikire also asked Lion club members to invest in business ventures in order to reflect the real spirit of Melvin Johns who was a businessman and started the club in 1917.

He commended the Lion club Ntungamo for being one of the best outperforming clubs in the country and urged them to continue in serving the community diligently.

The president of the Lion club Ntungamo, Lion Rev. Fr. Oscar Ahimbisibwe Omusyasya hailed the Lion members for mobilizing new members and participating in the community volunteerism to enhance community improvement.

Lion Rev. Fr. Oscar Omusyasya revealed that they normally conduct fellowship in members’ homes as one way to familiarize with the family members.

The host Lion Jacob Kafureeka Jack Jex the mayor Ntungamo Municipality thanked the members of the Club for visiting him and giving him gifts.

Jack Jex called upon all guests to join the club in order to serve the less privileged people in the community.

Six people were inducted into the Lions club to make a total of 95 club members and planting of trees to conserve the environment.
