The Police in Kanungu District are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 37 year old man identified as Nkamwesiga Victor, a resident of Rutooma cell in Kashojwa Parish in Rugyeyo Sub-county allegedly for committing suicide.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the incident and explained that the deceased disappeared from his home yesterday and was today morning found hanging on a jack tree along the road near his home.
The Police at Rugyeyo were informed, and the team of detectives visited the scene and documented.
Maate said that reliable information indicate that the deceased had seasonal mental problems, where he could be treated at Katate Health Center IV which is likely to be the cause.
