MITOOMA- The National Unity Platform President Robert Kyagulanyi Sentumu has described the fallen deputy NUP president Jolly Mugisha as a hero and hard-working person in her life time.

Kyagulanyi made the remarks at the sendoff of Jolly Mugisha who was the National Unity Platform deputy president for western Uganda who succumbed to heart complications on Monday at the age of 63 at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital. She was laid to rest at her ancestral home in Bubaale Kyempologoma in Mitooma Town council, Mitooma district.

The NUP president noted that the late Jolly Mugisha has not just been a leader but a parent and a hero who shaped the morals of many within the party and also made NUP known to many.

Speaking in the same function, the leader of opposition in Parliament who doubles as the Party Spokesperson Hon. Joel Senyonyi, described the deceased as a fighter who toiled for the well-being of people in demanding for health facilities among others key amenities of the society.

Francis Kibuka Amooti the Mitooma Resident District Commissioner commended the peaceful situation NUP members have exhibited in sending off such a great hero and asked people to emanate her unsegregative personality.
