NEWS– The Bishop of Ankle Diocese Rt Rev Ass Prof Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa has underscored the importance of Unity Among Religions to foster development.
Speaking at the celebration of Christmas carols at Nyamitanga Cathedral parish in Mbarara Bishop Mwesigwa said that their predecessors had unity amongst themselves and helped each other develop the region.
He also urged Christians to always listen to Christian radio stations like Revival FM and Radio Maria since they preach the gospel and keep the faith alive in one spirit.
His Grace Lambert Bainomugisha the Archbishop of the Diocese of Mbarara commended the choirs that participated in the Christmas carols’ noting that it was part of the Evangelism.
Robert Mugabe Kakyebezi the Mbarara city Mayor called for unity Among the religious leaders and the politicians for the good of Mbarara city as a regional city.
Evelyne Kikafunda, the founder of Green Environment Protection, called on the Religions to protect the environment by planting trees and gave the Archdiocese of Mbarara 2000 tree seedlings.
