
KANUNGU- The Nyakinoni Secondary School Schoool academic giant who scored 8 aggregates in 8 subjects, Ronald Akatwijuka, has done it again and scored 20 points in Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education Examinations whose results were yesterday released by Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).
Akatwijuka Ronald who was the best student in 2022 Uganda Certificate of Education at Nyakinoni Senior Secondary School also known as Chinese Campus in Nyakinoni Sub County in Kanungu District later moved to Kings College Budo where he has once again become one of the best students in the country scoring 3As in Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology, a 2 in ICT and Distinction 1 in General Paper.
The Headteacher Nyakinoni Senior Secondary School, Dan Byabasheija said that Akatwijuka stellar performance in 2022 propelled the school to greater heights and the school which has over 1,500 student population is now determined to maintain the academic integrity and standards.
Byabasheija said that he was greatful that after getting good grades at S.4 in 2022, Kings College Budo was able to take on Akatwijuka to pursue a career in sciences and given the reputation of Kings College Buddo, he was well placed to excel and rise higher.
Akatwijuka has since not looked back and when the results were released yesterday, the news of his excellent performance found him at his O Level School, Nyakinoni Senior Secondary School in classroom where he has been volunteering as a teacher since the new school term started.
Akatwijuka has become a darling to his peers, community and the students who look up to him as an inspiration to them, not only in classroom but also in secular life.
One of his admirers, Tumwekwase Wakikonah Mbabazi had this to say immediately the good news of Akatwijuka results were announced, “Two years ago, I shared with you a story of a boy who had entered his name on the roll of the Greats when he obtained maximum grades in the 2022 UCE from a relatively unknown Nyakinoni SSS, Kanungu”.
“Inspired and wholly moved by this incredibly historic achievement, I appealed to my friends of goodwill to support Akatwijuka Ronald’s journey to his academic dreamland”.

Akatwijuka who hails from Munyaga in Kayonza in Kanungu is eyeing to study human medicine when admitted at university and once he is qualified, will return to his community to serve the very people who raised him.
Meanwhile Nyakinoni Senior Secondary School is celebrating yet a good performance in 2024 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education Examinations results with 99 students getting principle passes with enough points to admit them into University while over 50 have enough points to admit them for Diploma Courses.
Some of the best students include Namande Assey and Tumwijukye Isaac with 16 points, Nabasa Dorothy and Namara Junior with 15 points, Namanya Bright, Nayebare Savior Nayebwa Denis and Ahereza Smantha with 14 points, Akandwanaho Tophil, Ariho Blessing, Musimenta Abraham, Atuheire Susan and Ainemani Delick have 13 points while Ainembabazi Charity, Nahurira Mackline Mwesigye Alfred, Atwebembere Ivan, Akancungura Ruth, Akampurira Caroline and Ahurira Rinah have 12 points.
