NEWS- According to Elly Maate the kigezi regional police spokesman, Arinaitwe was lynched at around mid night of Feb 25th 2020 after suspecting him to have defiled an un identified girl.
Maate added that residents chased him up to Nyakabungo village where they killed him from. Police was notified, rushed to the scene of crime, however they found when all residents had disappeared and the body lying in a pool of blood.
The body of the deceased according to Elly Maate was taken to kabale referral hospital for postmortem and to be handed over to the relatives for burial.
The police mouthpiece told our reporter that inquiries are already at hand at RUBANDA police station ref number CRB 087/2020.
