President Yoweri Kahuta Museveni has appointed Justice Moses Kazibwe Kawumi as Uganda’s new Deputy Chief Justice and Agnes Alum as the new Chief Registrar in changes at the top of the Judiciary. Investment in Uganda
The appointments were announced by the Deputy Presidential Press Unit Hajji Farouk Kirunda who said that Justice Kazibwe’s name has been forwarded to Parliament for vetting and approval.
Justice Kazibwe is set to replace Justice Richard Buteera, who has served as Deputy Chief Justice since 2020 and is nearing retirement and once approved, Kazibwe will oversee the Court of Appeal and Constitutional Court.
