President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni this week met with youthful patriots in Muyenga in Kampala organized by the Commissioner of Patriotism in the Office of the President Ms Hellen Seku.

The youth were divided into groups  graduates of patriotic courses totaling 450,000 trained, enterprise-based groups, social groups like single mothers and pressure group mobilizers.

The President urged them to keep in touch with the Patriotic Secretariat and collaborate with the National Resistance Movement to strengthen their mobilisation efforts.

Meanwhile in a powerful show of gratitude amid Uganda’s rising political energy, the Council for Rwandans living in Uganda known as Abavandimwe yesterday presented President Yoweri Museveni with a special portrait during the inauguration of the Patriotism Clubs of Uganda’s head offices.

The gesture, made before a large crowd, reflects the community’s strong support for Museveni as the 2026 general elections approach.

The event, held in Kampala marked a significant milestone for the Patriotism Clubs, a presidential initiative launched in 2009 to promote national values among youth and students and the clubs aim to foster unity, discipline, and patriotism through school-based programs.
