President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today welcomed and held a meeting with Chairperson of the United Kingdom All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health Hon Beccy Cooper.
The meeting took place at State House Entebbe where the two leafers discussed issues of strengthening Uganda-UK collaboration in healthcare.
President Museveni told his guests that there is need to strengthen health efforts particularly in medical training, skills transfer, and improving health service delivery.

The President also briefed her on Uganda’s successful defeat of the recent Ebola outbreak, which demonstrated the dedication of our health workers and the effectiveness of our response systems.
He said that Uganda’s successful containment of the Ebola outbreak reflects strong leadership, committed health professionals, and effective national response systems and the achievement continues to inspire confidence in our healthcare sector.
