The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah has underscored the importance of effective collaboration between Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and Parliament to the successful implementation of government programs and policies.
The Prime Minister remarks were contained in a message delivered on her behalf by the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister Rukia Nakadama Isanga at the opening of a two day capacity building workshop for Liaison Officers from MDAS and Parliament at today at Skyz Hotel in Kampala.
Prime Minister Nabbanja commended the Parliament of Uganda for availing platform for Ministries, Drpartments and Agencies Liaison Officers to enhance skills and knowledge in facilitating government business in Parliament.
According to the Director in the Office of Leader of Government busines in Parliament, Kiiza Charles Lwanga, the workshop forcused on navigating parliamentary processes, meeting budget deadlines, providing effective support and building effective relationships among others.
Lwanga noted that these are critical skills for Ministries, Departments andAgencies Liaison Officers to work as a bridge between their Institutions and Parliament, facilitating communication, collaboration and coordination.
The workshop was sponsered by the Westminster Foundation for Development and was attended by Spokespersons from various Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
