Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi congratulates Dr Chris Baryomunsi.

Former Prime Minister Rt Hon John Patrick Amama Mbabazi has called for team work and Unity amongst Kanungu District Leaders in move to spear head streamlined development in in the district. 

Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi made the remarks today evening while attending a congratulatory party following the swearing in of Kinkizi East Member of Parliament Hon Dr Chris Baryomunsi which took place Nanjing Hotel in Kololo in Kampala.

The former Prime Minister congratulated Dr Baryomunsi who is the Minister of ICT and National Guidance and Government Spokesman and hailed him for inviting him to the function which has become a stimulus for uniting Kanungu District Leaders.

Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi whoo was accompanied by his wife Hon Jacqueline Mbabazi amused the guests when he said that the event was the first time he has sat with Dr Chris Baryomunsi in the 20 years he has been in Parliament which he called a milestone in shaping the future of development in Kanungu.

Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi made it categorically clear that he has never had any issues with Hon Dr  Baryomunsi and if there is a man he is happy for and lucky to have as a friend, is Dr Chris Baryomunsi.

He said that those who don’t know him miss a jolly, free, and generous man whom he has never had any wrangles with, but has been hearing a lot of rumors that they are not friends. 

Rt Hon Amama, called on Kanungu residents who have issues with them to put their fears aside and know that they are friendly and reachable men as he urged unity in Kanungu because they cannot develop with misconceptions, which he does not believe in.

Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi who represented Kinkizi West until 2015, said he might not have done a lot during his time, but he was not only the leader of Kanungu District or Uganda, besides representing the whole of East Africa.

He said that since he is still alive, he is sure that together with the other leaders a lot will be achieved and he is still a leader and can still achieve what he did not complete.

On his part, Dr Chris Baryomunsi who was flanked by his wife Fosca Baryomunsi said that he will use the next term in office to ensure that Kanungu Leaders work together to develop the district to greater heights.

The event was attended by top Kanungu District Leaders, family and friends of Dr Baryomunsi including Hon Peggy Wako Col Samson Mande, NBS Proprietor Kin Kaliisa, King Ceaser Mulenga, Speaker Frank Byaruhanga, Resident District Commissioner and his Deputies among many others.
