The Police Rukiga District have arrested 2 people in connection with the suspected murder 62 year old Bagambira Milton also known as Obote, a peasant a resident of Nyakisa Village in Kashekye Parish in Kamwezi Sub-county.

Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the arrest and identified the two suspects Kiromba James, Beinomugisha Denis also known as Murefu.

It alleged that on 20th May 2025, the deceased had gone to his banana plantation in Rwenzaza village to work, he found when the suspects were  stealing coffee from his garden and when the suspects saw him, they attacked him with sharp objects and severely cut him on the head several time and after they cut off both legs and both arm and removed both eyes then the body parts were taken a cross the boarder of Rwanda and buried in the sack.

The case was reported to the Police by Twakire Ronald, a peasant and a resident of Nyakisa cell in Kashekye Parish in Kamwezi Sub-county in Rukiga District and the scene of crime was visited by a team of Police Officers who recorded statements from witnesses and the a postmortem examination was done and and the body handed over to relatives for a decent burial.

In the same development, the Police in Rukiga District are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of an 18 year old man identified as Muganizi Bosco a Security Guard working with SAFE TAC security company.

Maate, told journalists that the deceased together with another person whose particulars are yet to be established, while armed with a gun and a bow and arrow, entered the bar of one Mbarinawe Senior.

It is reported that the two ointed a bow and arrow ordered those inside the bar to sit down and surrender to them all the money they had and the bar attendant one Elias jumped and grabbed him and the one who had a gun took off with it.

They struggled with the one who had a bow and arrow and over powered him a mob gathered and started beating him and the chairman LC 1 went and called Police which rushed to rescue him but he died while he was being taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital.

Maate explained that the scene was visited, processed and documented, the bow and arrow was recovered from  the scene and the body was taken to Kabale Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem as investigations continue.
