NEWS- Rukiga SACCO Limited has once again conducted a 2 days Christmas hamper distribution to its Vulnerable clients (People with Disabilities (PWDs), sick andĀ aged clients) in all its branches.
The campaign that started on Thursday this week climaxed on Friday with a number of commodities including Rice, Maize Flour, Soap, salt, Sugar etc being distributed to Vulnerable Clients aged 70 and above, and People with Disabilities (PWDs) in all the branches.
Leading a team from Rukiga SACCO Ltd in the campaign, the SACCOs Chairman Board of Governors, Rev. Ivan Muhoozi, said that it’s very important to appreciate some vulnerable members, for their endless commitment in serving with the SACCO.
Muhoozi added that the campaign is the sign of Kindness, love, and appreciation as the institution doesnāt only look at making profits but also going an extra mile at uplifting their weak clients in finances to greater citizens.
āItās very important to appreciate the vulnerable members, mostly the aged people, those living with disabilities, and the sick for their commitment in serving with Rukiga SACCO. Our institution doesnāt look at only making profits but moves an extra mile so that our clients are financially stableā said Rev. Ivan Muhoozi.
The Rukiga SACCO Ltd General Manager Ms. Medius Kabajurizi said that it has remained their Culture of giving back to the communities annually in a way of showing their appreciation to their Clients and also as a way of giving back to communities.
Kabajurizi added that this year much was put to the most vulnerable people like the sick, aged, and the disabled, who at times find it difficult to go through the festive season.
āWe have been conducting this campaign from the previous years in a way of giving back to the communities to our clients. We were selective at choosing those to benefit from the campaign as at times some people struggle to pass through the festive season lacking commoditiesā said Kabajurizi, Rukiga Sacco General Manager.
Grace Karushenyi, 74 year old a resident of Kinyamozi cell, Kibanda Parish in Kamwezi Sub County said that she has been paralyzed for some good years thus appreciating the SACCO for always checking on her sickbay, as it was the second time getting Christmas gifts from Rukiga SACCO.
Kigambire Ronald aka Buchman, a PWD a resident of 19 miles Muroore, Rubanda Town council in Rubanda district said the SACCO has assisted him to look after his family, paying school dues for his kids and uplifting his shoe making business.
Mubangizi peter 62, a resident of Town cell Kigara Parish, in Kamwezi Sub county and Rwantangare Fred 84 from Rwibare Village in Rwentobo – Rwahi Town council, Ntungamo district said the SACCO has stood there to help them overcome a number of financial Challenges.
With their Head office located in Muhanga Town Council, Rukiga SACCO has other branches that include; Kamwezi, Rwamucucu, Kashambya, Nyaruziba, Kisiizi, Rukungiri, Rubanda and Kabale.
