RUKUNGIRI- The Kigezi greatest mathematician of all time Benon Bitwiire aka Uncle Ben described as a gallant educationist who modeled minds, instilled values and ignited the passion for learning in countless students in Kigezi Region in particular Rukungiri district.

While preaching to the mourners during the burial of late Benon Bitwiire aka Uncle Ben in Rwenshekye Rubanga Buyanja Rukungiri district, the North Kigezi Diocesan bishop the Rt. Rev. Onesmus Asiimwe said that death is a mystery (omubonano) and is known by God but the only answer is Jesus Christ.

Bishop Asiimwe asked all mourners to accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior as the late Bitwiire did because it is the only way, the truth and the life.

His wife Jessica Kyoshabire Bitwiire said that his journey as educator was defined not just by what he taught but how he lived with integrity, humility and compassion.

Kyoshabire Jessica Bitwiire told mourners that together with her husband the late Benon Bitwiire have shared 45 years with beautiful years of love, laughter and companionship blessed with six children and eleven grandchildren.

She hailed her husband late Benon Bitwiire for being empathetic, caring and loved her dangerously.

Daughter in law Hon Natukunda Medius Kaharata duals the Rukungiri district Woman MP said that Uncle Ben was a great teacher who served with dedication and commitment to his perfection.

Hon Natukunda thanked all people for standing with the family during the trying moments.

All children led by Akampumuza Benson and Natukunda Thiona described their father, the late Benon Bitwiire, as a peace loving, soft words and generous.

They thanked him for producing, nurturing and educating them to be what they are together with mother.

Representing the government, the Rubabo county legislator Hon Namanya Naboth urged general public and political leaders to avoid politics of identity and division saying they are tearing the country apart.

Hon Namanya noted that Uganda needs unity and social economic transformation of common people rather than politics of bickering.

The late Uncle Ben Bitwiire aged 74 years left a wife, five children and eleven grandchildren.
