The Police in Kabale have arrested a 27 year old man identified as Andrew Ainamani a taxi conductor a resident of Rwesanziro village Katokye Parish Kyanamira Sub-county for alleged murder.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the incident and identified the victim as female adult only known as Patricia a resident of Nyabushabi Village in Kyanamira Sub-county whose body was discovered abandoned in the compound of Nyakijumba catholic church in the morning of 30th November 2025.
Maate said that when crime scene was visited, processed and documented and the sniffer dog was introduced to the scene, it led the Police to the lover’s home Ainamani whose house neighbor’s the Catholic Church who was at large.
The Police also found marks of pulling on the ground right from the house, meaning that could have died from there as a primary scene.
And when search was made in the house, pieces of suspected mattress and blanket soaked with suspected fluids were recovered in the house and were exhibited for forensic analysis and the body was then retrieved and taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination.
The suspect was arrested on Christians Eve from his hideout in Kigongi in Kabale Municipality and is now assisting in the ongoing investigations.
