NEWS- The Ntungamo district Chairman Samuel Musinguzi Rwakigoba challenged all Sacco leaders to improve on profit maximizing if the Saccos are to be sustainable for future generations.
This was in his remarks delivered by Hon councilor for Itojo Sub County and Nyamukana Town council Bibiana Kakinoni, the secretary for social services during 21st annual general meeting of Nyakyeera Farmers Sacco held at Kafunjo branch in Kafunjo – Mirama Town council Ruhaama county Ntungamo district.
Mucunguzi advised leaders to always focus on increasing profits and shares of the saccos before conducting annual general meetings.

The Ntungamo district commercial officer Aryanyijuka Ezrah commended Nyakyeera Farmers Sacco for being best performer among the Saccos in the district. DCO Aryanyijuka noted that the Sacco is expanding due to its compliance with the governing laws.

The Senior Institutional Development officer at Uganda Cooperative Alliance Asiimwe Robert challenged all delegates to advocate for transparency, trust and promote core principles of the Sacco for sustainable development.
The general manager Nyakyeera Farmers Sacco Kaddu Syliver hailed the delegates for turning up in big numbers and asked them to recruit new members.
Kaddu noted that in the subsequent years, Nyakyeera Farmers Sacco is strategizing to increase loan portfolio to at least 4bn and tasked members to repay their loans in time.

The Board chairman Nyakyeera Farmers Sacco Ndibarema Wa Baitwabaabo thanked the various members for their unreserved contribution in form of financial, moral, technical and physical support towards the Sacco’s development.
Ndibarema highlighted what has been done, what is to be done, including construction of the Rwoho branch and opening of a new branch in Ntungamo town.
Nyakyeera Farmers Sacco delegates meeting passed the resolution to have Ntungamo municipality branch on top of other 4 branches including the Rwoho, Kafunjo, Kiyoora and main branch Nyakyeera.
Other speakers were Turinawe Stephen, the chairman of SUPCO among others.
