NEWS– The Police in Kanungu District are investigating a suspected case of homosexual that took place at Tungwa grazing field in Rushaka Parish in Nyamirama Sub County.
Maate said that the case was reported by Kabagambe Fred, the LC 1 chairperson Nyabushoro cell in Rushaka Parish Nyamirama Sub County in Kanungu district alleging that a 12 years boy a resident of the same area was sodomised.
Maate also identified the suspect as 23 year old man Ainembabazi Edison a resident of Mashoko cell in Rushaka Parish in Nyamirama Sub County in Kanungu district.
It’s alleged that on the 23rd July 2024 while the victim was grazing cows at Ntungwa in the government land together with Kosi and Muteta, they found the suspect hiding in the bush, the suspect rushed and grabbed the victim, undressed him and forcefully started having sexual intercourse through his anus.
A case of aggravated homosexuality and defilement was registered at Nyamirama Police Station and scene of crime scene visited, statements obtained from eye witnesses and the suspect was arrested and detained and inquiries are underway, upon completion, the suspect will be arraigned before courts of law.
