The Police in Kabale District have three suspects in detention allegedly for the torture of 19 year old girl identified Princess Kyampeire whose video clip that went viral recently.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the arrest of the three suspects named as 28 year old Turyatunga Frugence, 24 year old Muhozi Denis and Tindyebwa Daudi all who are students at Kabale University.
Maate explained that the incident occurred on the 19th September 2025, on allegation that Kyampeire had on the previous day stole an ITEL phone and money from the residence of one Anita Kwarisima a student of UCC Kabale and resident of Kirigime cell in Mwanjari Ward in Southern Division Kabale Municipality.
Maate said that the 3 were arrested and upon the completion of inquiries, they will be arreigned before courts of law to answer charges accordingly.
Maate asked the members of the public should desist from acts of lawlessness, but should always utilize the services of local leaders or relevant offices to handle their concerns accordingly or else, they face the long arm of the law.
