Police in Ntungamo District have registered single fatal accident along the Rwekiniro road in Kayenje that claimed the lives of three people leaving 6 others with serious injuries.
The Rwizi Region Police Spokesman Samson Kasasira has confirmed the accident and identified the deceased as 62 year old Mukiibi Hakim, Muhoozi Mustafa and Muzafari Kireema all passengers of a Fuso Truck registration number UAT 371G whose driver is on the run.
Kasasira explained that the alleged the vehicle was coming from Ntungamo side heading towards Rwekiniro loaded with market vendors and their laggage when they reached Kayenje the driver lost control of vehicle going off the road.
The injured victims were rushed to different health facilities for treatment that are yet to be established and the bodies were taken to Itojo General Hospital Mortuary pending postmortem examination and the Police attributed the cause of the accident to reckless driving.
