KASESE- As politics gains momentum in Kasese Municipality, a Strong NRM youth carder Mr. Balaam Baluku has today officially declared his political interest to contest for the LCIII chairpersonship for central Division with a vision to make the urban center green again.
Addressing his political agents and the press at Virina gardens in Kasese town, Mr. Baluku notified that since the urban center has well-built infrastructures, if given chance to lead, he would embark on a tree planting campaign as a tool to address climate changes.
According to him, the urban center has lost its green belts which he says negatively contributes to climate changes however says he would embrace a tree planting and maintenance in the urban center especially in the green belts, and also fighting polythen bags the a campaign he says could lead to a clean town hence attracting more tourists and then it eventually boost the tourism and business sector as well.
Some of the party carders who attended the presser including Ms. Grace Masika Mama Clare from Kihalimu of Nyakabingo II ward who welcomed Mr. Baluku’s decision and asked her fellow party members to embrace supporting their own party members if they are to have many leaders from their political party at the general elections.
Other party members, asked the top Political leaders to always harmonies candidates after primaries to avoid people coming as independents which according to them negatively affect the general elections.
