KASESE- National Unity Platform (NUP) leaders in Kasese District have initiated a campaign to donate examination materials to government-aided schools in the district aiming at improving the students’ performance.
The efforts which aim at supporting candidate classes was launched today in Kasese Municipality where at least seven-government aided primary schools in Central division benefited.
The schools include Base camp, Kasese primary, Mulongoti, Railway, Kirembe, Kamiaba and Kamiaba SDA primary schools.
Mr. Bryan Basisa the District party chairperson who said the campaign would be rolled in the entire district after supplying to all schools in the municipality noted that the campaign is a testament to the party’s commitment to education.
Ms. Alia Biira who represented NUP district woman member of parliament hopful Mrs. Fatuma Kathembo Kamama noted that providing exam materials, NUP leaders in Kasese District are helping to bridge the resource gap often faced by government-aided schools. They had this to add: ……..
While at Base camp primary school, Mr. Livingston Kato commonly known as Zunguka said the support would help reduce some pressure on students and teachers, allowing them to focus on academic preparation.
Mr. Jafali Kihutiya the area LCI chairperson and Ms. Josilin Musoki the school deputy head teacher who hailed the party for a developmental Initiative said the campaign demonstrate the positive impact that community-focused leadership can have on society.
