The National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has said that the flourishing infrastructural developments in Kagadi district and the entire Bunyoro Sub region are a clear manifestation of the NRM’s government contribution to the area and has rallied the electorate to extend his tenure in the forthcoming general elections for more socioeconomic development interventions.
While addressing a campaign rally at Muhooro BCS Play Grounds in Kagadi District yesterday December 13th, President Museveni advised the people of Kagadi District to take advantage of the developments in their area to harness wealth at individual and household levels and to end subsistancehood living.
President Museveni promised an additional Zonal Presidential Industrial Skilling Hub for Southern Bunyoro Sub region to enhance skilling initiatives for youths and noted that the one Zonal Presidential Industrial skilling Hub in Bunyoro located in Masindi District requires complementary support from another one planned to be set up in Kagadi or it’s neighboring districts.
Candidate Museveni also promised to fast track the tarmacking of Kagadi – Ndaiga road in Kagadi district to further extend tarmac road coverage in the District.
The pronouncement is part of the several other commitments he made to the district including the operationalization of the Ugx 360 billion support fund for Tea farmers and the construction of Isunga Memorial School among others
Candidate Museveni advised the electorate in Kagadi district to vote for leaders with clarity of their interests on development and socioeconomic transformation as opposed to sectarianism of religion, tribes or gender.
He noted that the NRM’s politics of interest has brought unity and fostered the establishment of national institutions and public service which the electorate should safe guard by voting for like minded leaders and guided every homestead in Kagadi to concentrate on a particular speciality for wealth creation from the 7 enterprises proposed by the NRM government
President Museveni guided on the available job opportunities in skills and the private sector that out match public service jobs and guided the people of Kagadi District to harness opportunities therein.
Presidential candidate Museveni guided the small and large scale land owners in Kagadi district on apropriate land utilisation for wealth creation at individual and household levels and he listed profitable economic enterprises to venture into for residents of Kagadi District.
He assured Kagadi district resisdents of the NRM government’s to foster job creation interventions through the socioeconomic and wealth creation schemes with reference to commercial enterprises propelled by the NRM government.
While speaking at the same event, the NRM Vice Chairperson for Western Region Jornad Asiimwe Akiiki called on the electorate of Kagadi District to embrace unity ahead of polls, while the NRM National Vice Chairperson Anita Among highlighted development strides made by the NRM government for Kagadi District and more lined up in the National Development Plan IV.
Meanwhile President Museveni has promised regulations for the Fishing sector including a banning of fishing in breeding areas and bad fishing practices and noted that the Fisheries sector is a gold mine with unexplored potential due to unprofessional practices and he promised to counter those vices moving forward to blossom the sector.
The NRM presidential candidste Museveni was speaking at a campaign rally at Kiziranfumbi Secondary school Playgrounds in Kikuube District, where he held his second rally today December 13th 2025 where he re-echoed the need for indigenous fishing communities along the lake to own up the conservation of the fishing sector.
He confirmed the government plans to elevate Kikuube District Health Center IV to a District General Hospital among othert social service sector improvements in the District and pplauded leaders of Kikuube District for steadily following through with establishment of health centers and electricity distribution in all Sub counties across the district which has aided access to service delivery for the people.
He promised more investment into water distribution programs among other socioeconomic and development strides and challenged religious leaders in Kikuube District to complement government wealth creation in their sermons to empower and cause about socioeconomic transformation of their flock
