The Police in Kabale have arrested a 53 year old man identified as Mubangizi Silva on alleged charges of murder by hacking.
Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Nelson Tumushime has confirmed the incident identified the deceased as 60 year old Byaruhanga Emmanuel a resident of Ihimbi Cell in Rutooma Ward, Northern Division in Kabale Municipality.

Tumushime told journalists today that the incident took place yesterday at Kabindi Cell in Bushuro Parish in Kitumba Sub- county, in Kabale District when the Suspect had a fight with his wife where the deceased separeted them an act which annoyed the suspect .
It is reported that in return the suspect started abusing the deceased to the extent that he picked a panga and cut him and the Police responded to the scene and conveyed the deceased body to Kabale Regional Referal Hospital for postmortem examination as investigations continue

Meanwhile the Police in Kabale have registered a fatal road crash which occured last night at Mwanjari, along Kabale – Katuna Road.
The fatal crash involved motorvehicle registration number UAT 791S and a Motorcyle registration number UEV 857H whose rider was killed the instantly and both were coming from Kabale heading to Katuna when the crash occured .
Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver of the vehicle was driving under the influence of alcohol and he is in Police custody to help with Investigations and the Police have warned motorists and Boda Boda riders against drink driving
Tumushime warned that the traffic Police will impound all vehicles , arrest drunk drivers and will do breath analyzer tests in it’s operations arrest and prosecute the offenders of traffic rules and regulations.
