Museveni addressing a campaign rally

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is the National Resistance Movement party flagbearer, has today concluded his campaign trail in the Teso Sub-region with a rally in Bukedea.

While addressing a mega rally at Emokori Grounds in Bukedea District, President Museveni thanked the people of Bukedea for the massive support they continue to show the National Resistance Movement party. 

The President congratulated the Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Annet Among and the other National Resistance Movement members who were elected unopposed which shows the people’s confidence in tested leadership and saves the party from wasting resources in unnecessary competition.

He later handed over the NRM flags to the winners of party primaries including those who were unopposed led by the Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Among.

Ealier in the day President Museveni commissioned the Acomai Irrigation Scheme in Kamutur and welcomed the great initiative which will improve agricultural productivity by providing reliable water for farming.

The event in Bukedea was attended by the NRM top leaders including the Vice President Maj Jessica Alupo Epel, the Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa, the Secretary General Hon Richard Todwong, Central Executive Committee members and NRM Secretariat Team from Kampala.
