NEWS- The opposition National Unity Platform party has officially launched and opened a school of leadership to enhance its party agenda.
The party school of leadership officially opened on 10th June 2024 is located at the at the party’s former headquarters in Kamwokya in a function honoured by the party principal Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi wine and other party leaders.
According to them, the school of leadership intends to be used to groom a new breed of vibrant young leaders.
The party leadership revealed that the enrollment shall be open for all and they have categorized their learners into three sets where the first category is for the informal sector, the second for professionals and the last is for elected leaders.
They added that the modules to be taught shall be about the party ideology, political history of Uganda, modern economics, communication skills & the art of political communication, principles and institutions of political leadership.
Other modules to be taught at the academy include strategies for political change, Local Government administrative framework in Uganda, Elections in Uganda, conflict resolution in politics, balancing the struggle, work and family, among others.
It is said that the graduates from the school shall be rooted in patriotism, transparency, accountability and incorruptibility, among other values.
It should be remembered that National Unity Platform is currently the top opposition side as it has the largest number of opposition legislators in the August house and one of the country’s most fast growing political parties at the moment.
