BUSHENYI- With days counting to 2026, the year Ugandans have waited for long to choose their leaders for the next five-year term, a number of the citizens have so far expressed interest in taking up some positions of their choice.
With this, parties are in the middle of preparation of internal elections to select better and capable candidates to carry their flags to battle others in the general elections.
Our team has hence force conducted a mini-survey in Bushenyi –Ishaka Municipality on the Parliamentary contenders so far and how powerful each is as well as who is most likely to represent the area in the 12th Parliament.
The findings have so far revealed that Counsel Nicholas Ndyakira is still leading all the contenders on the Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality Parliamentary seat with 65%. Counsel Ndyakira has become a darling since he tackled the real challenges that the area residents have always yawned for from the previous leaders.
The poll shows that other contenders in the race are far below the average and it should be remembered that Counsel Nicholus Ndyakira wants to get hold of the Ruling party NRM’s flag in the elections set to be held this year.
Others in the race are Hajji Iddi Bassaja Balaba who’s currently holding a 25% and a one Enoki with 5% of the populace support incase the election is held during this period.
