NEWS– The Deathtoll in Sunday afternoon Ntungamo-Mbarara road accident has increased to three.
The accident according to eyewitnesses happened on Sunday afternoon at Kahunga involving a Toyota Forester UBN 375Q and a Toyota Hiace drone registration number UBP 314A.
It’s said that the Toyota Hiace was headed to Mbarara from Rukungiri as the Forester was heading towards the opposite direction when the crash happened.
The two who died on spot are said to be occupants of the Toyota Forester who were yet to be identified by press time.
Latest update from Ntungamo indicates that the taxi driver Mujurizi Herbert aka Rough who had survived with broken later passed on as he was being transported to Itojo hospital for medical attention.
Numerous passengers sustained serious injuries and were also rushed to Itojo hospital for medical attention.
Wreckages of both the Toyota Forester and a taxi were towed to Ntungamo Central Police station awaiting IOV.
By press time, Police was yet to issue a statement about the fatal crash, we shall keep you posted with details as they unfold.
