Employee cuts off hand of his Boss in Kanungu District

The Police in Kanungu District are investigating circumstances under which a man identified as Eriabu Aineplani’s hand was cut off, by a suspect only known as Brian.

Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the incident and explained that the suspect has been a casual worker of the victim, burning for him charcoal at Omukibaare village in Kayungwe Sub-county and has been getting information of theft of his charcoal by the suspect.

Maate said that it is alleged that Ainemani went at the site and started to interview the suspect on the matter in the presence of other workers. 

It is repprted that in the due course, the suspect became too violent, raised a sharp panga that he was holding to behead the victim who managed to  guard himself using his hand which was cut off completely.

The case of attempted murder was registered at Nyakabungo Police station by the area chairperson Turinawe Frank, statements were recorded from relevant eye witnesses and the exhibit of a panga was recovered and handed in to Police and the victim was rushed to Kambuga hospital where is admitted and efforts to have the suspect arrested are being made.
