NEWS– Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) today is officially going to launch the online registration of her members in Kasese Kasese District.
According to the Organizing Committee led by Mr. Alfred Kule Ikwera, the Party President, Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat and the General Secretary, Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi, have confirmed their presence.
Being a regional function, leaders and party members from the districts of Kasese, Bunyangabu, Ntoroko and Bundibugyo are expected to attend the event.
Addressing the press at the Kasese FDC Branch Offices on Alexander Street in Kasese town, the District Party Chairperson, Mr. Ronald Bwambale Kabuku, said despite the security orders that hampered there planned activity of carrying out general cleanliness in Kasese town, preparations for the major function for today are in high gear.
Kabuku, who said that the party members decided to adhere to the guidance by the security team to avoid inconveniences, asked all security organs to work closely with FDC members through manning security at the tomorrow’s mega function without causing any disruptions.
In a related development, the National Unity Platform party has announced cancellation of their Mobilization Tours in Western Uganda.
The NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine announced at a press conference that the party has canceled its planned activities in Isingiro District, citing alleged denial of access to venues.
Kyagulanyi stated that, instead of the planned activities, they will only participate in an afternoon talk show on a local radio station in Isingiro District.
Despite this setback, the NUP received a warm welcome during their campaign in Ntungamo District this week.
