The Chief of Defence Forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, was treated to a special dinner reception hosted by his counterpart, Lt Gen Jules Banza Mwilambwethe, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC), in Kinshasa on Saturday evening.
The dinner was attended by senior government and military officials who expressed their gratitude for Gen Kainerugaba’s visit.
The event featured a cultural band performance that filled the venue with popular Lingala music, including songs specially composed with lyrics praising Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
The dinner followed Gen Kainerugaba’s official meeting at FARDC headquarters where the two military leaders and their delegations reviewed progress on the joint Operation Shujaa.
Earlier on Saturday, the Ugandan military leader had held discussions with President Félix Tshisekedi at State House, focusing on strengthening bilateral security.
