Addressing journalists at the university’s Guild building on Friday, Twinomugisha, the Guild Electoral Chairperson, issued a stern warning that any student found guilty of violating rules would face automatic disqualification.

He emphasized that candidates should follow the university’s Constitution and abide by the rules and regulations set by the university’s Guild Electoral Commission, stating that every candidate has been provided with a copy of electoral offenses to avoid unintentional violations.

Speaking to our reporter after being nominated, Akampurira Jonathan Reid, an aspiring candidate for Kabale University’s 2024-2025 Guild Presidential polls, pledged to edit every policy to have free WiFi extended to every hostel with more than 40 students or those in close proximity to the university premises.
