NEWS- The Organising Committee has started first preparatory meeting for the upcoming Patriotic League of Uganda Baraza in the Central part of the country is under way in Masaka City, however Members of National Resistance Movement under the a pressure group Patriotic League of Uganda have highlighted betrayal and selfishness that is within the party.
While in the meeting that was meant to prepare for the visit of Gen Muhoozi Keinerugaba scheduled to take place on 15th March 2024 at Liberation Square Ground.
The Chairperson of NRM District Chairpersons in Greater Masaka, Musa Kayondo Bahati Kisanja said that fights amongst themselves, selfishness and betrayal has become rampant in the party, a thing that is putting them at risk.
The Coordinator Patriotic League of Uganda in Greater Masaka Rodgers Buregyeya asked for cooperation among the members saying that in every political party there are always fights and selfishness and asked them to look for something that can bring them all together.
While addressing the meeting, the State Minister for Micro Finance Hajji Kyeyune Haruna Kasolo who is also the Coordinator Patriotic League of Uganda in Greater Masaka called upon members to put aside their differences of politics and focus on Baraza to host Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
“I appeal to you all, cooperate and mobilize people to make the Baraza colorful” Minister Kasolo appealed.
While speaking to the Members, the RCC Masaka City Hood Hussein advised NRM supporters to stop playing games and fights as they have been doing over time, because he will not tolerate such as long as am still the RCC in Masaka.
He further urged everyone to welcome Gen Muhoozi Keinerugaba because he welcomes everyone in his pressure group.
The Lyantonde District Chairperson Fred Muhangi called upon the people of Lyantonde and Country at large to sport the Muhoozi Kainerugana cause and more Patriotic League of Uganda.
“Am calling upon all Lyantonde members that we support the cause of MK and more especially Patriotic League of Uganda as we expect to be in Masaka on 15th March 2024 in big numbers from Lyantonde to welcome Our beloved Gen MK” He said.
During the meeting that took place at Zebra Hotel in Masaka City, Muhangi was elected as the District Coordinator on National Organizing Committee of Patriotic League of Uganda representing Lyantonde.
One of Patriotic League of Uganda members Seith Ahabwe Muyambi called upon the locals of Lyantonde District and Kabura in general to converge at Lyantonde town council gardens on 25th Feb 2024 such that they prepare themselves to welcome Gen Mk on 15th March 2024.
Nuwagira Michael alias Toyota thanked the people of Greater Masaka for loving Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and said he is ready to fulfill the pledge of bringing him in Masaka Region and called upon leaders not to solicit money in the name of preparing the function.
“The Patriotic League of Uganda has objectives like patriotism, fighting corruption and loving Uganda at heart” He stated.
The Commander of Armoured Brigade Kasajagirwa Barracks Masaka Brig Gen Deus Sande assured that security in Greater Masaka and thanked the Committee for bringing Gen Muhoozi Keinerugaba in Masaka.
