NEWS– The Minister of ICT and National Guidance Hon Dr Chris Baryomunsi has told African leaders to priotise technology in their programmes in order to provide better services for the people.
Minister Baryomunsi said this on Thursday June 27th 2014 while addressing African Ministers and senior government officials in a meeting in Nairobi, Kenya.
The meeting organised by the government of Kenya and UNESCO is discussing Artificial Intelligence and other technologies and how they can help in delivery of better services.
The Minister explained what Uganda government has done in the areas of ICT such as telecommunication, Internet, radio and television among others and further told the meeting that leaders must always listen to the population and address their concerns.
He further asked governments to use ICT to create employment opportunities for the young people. He called upon the global community to reduce the digital gap between the developed world.
