KAMPALA- The Minister of State for Finance in Charge of General Duties Hon Henry Musasizi Aliganyira has applauded entrepreneurs for building the businesses that create jobs and wealth for Ugandans.
Minister Musasizi made the remarks today while representing the Minister of Finance Planning and Economic Development Hon Minister Matia Kasaija at the 16th Global Entrepreneurship Week conference organised by EntUganda at Hotel Africana in Kampala.
In his remarks, Minister Musasizi applauded entrepreneurs for building the businesses that create jobs and wealth for Ugandans, adding that this noble and patriotic role is the foundation of Uganda’s economic prosperity.
The Conference was held under the theme: “Entrepreneurship is for everyone”, and the Minister added that entrepreneurship is a foundation for economic emancipation Uganda’s economic prosperity is based on.
Partners including Uganda Entrepreneurship Network and Enterprise Uganda say the conference is an event for inspiration, networking, and powerful conversations.
It was attended by entrepreneurs, industry leaders, policymakers and partners from Uganda and beyond and the participants had the chance to gain insights from dynamic speakers, connect with Uganda’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and explore groundbreaking ideas to ignite their own ventures.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is a global celebration of entrepreneurship where people from various countries worldwide come together through local, national and global events to create solutions for worldwide economic growth.
Entrepreneurship do not only address economic issues but issues of sustainability too and Social entrepreneurship helps solve problems of education, water scarcity and gender equality which contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.
