SSP Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for Greater Bushenyi Police told the press that Kakama, a resident of Kitanoga Cell 1, Nyakatooma Parish, Kashenshero Sub County in Mitooma District committed the offence in the night of January 28th 2024.
Tumusiime named the victim as Abias Mpirwe 44, a resident of the same address who according to Police reports was killed on the fateful day at around midnight, at a bar owned by Kyomugisha Dina.
The Police spokesman added that a dispute arose between the suspect and the victim over a woman named Ainembabazi Eunice, a barmaid whom Kakama was romantically interested in.
