NEWS- Rukungiri municipality’s famous businessman Muramira Moses of Moses investments’ Limited has donated a full set of sports kit to Rukungiri journalists.
This donation comes just days to the commemoration of the World Press freedom day and official launch of their (journalists’) association Rukungiri District Media Practitioners Association that will be held at the New Palm Royale Hotel grounds in Southern Division Rukungiri municipality on Saturday May 4th 2024.
Muramira handed the donated sports kit to the association members led by their chairperson Isaac Bernard Tushabe.
Moses Investments’ limited located along Kinyasano road deals in both second hand and new motorcycles.
The association was also privileged to receive a football that was donated by Seth Turinawe another business icon in Rukungiri municipality of Seth Carpentry workshop.
Isaac Bernard Tushabe, the Rukungiri District Media Practitioners Association chairperson and other association members who talked to our reporter applauded Moses Muramira and Seth Turinawe for their support saying that this will help in gearing up different sports activities that will unite them with their fans and listeners in different areas.
It should be remembered that the World Press freedom day commemoration is always held on every 3rd May of the year following its gazettee by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and this year 2024 , the 31st World Press freedom day celebrations will be themed the importance of journalism and freedom of expression in the context of the current global environmental crisis ( journalism in the face of environmental crisis).
